Thyroid Problems

In today’s healthcare approach functional problems of the thyroid are frequently overlooked. Thyroid hormones affect every cell in the body and slight alterations in other organ systems impact the thyroid’s action. There is a difference in thyroid interaction from the first and second halves of a women’s menstrual cycle. Some of the other systems impacting thyroid hormone action are the digestive tract, liver, glucose metabolism, and neurotransmitters. This is why we check other organ functions to assess thyroid activity and why it is missed by the standard approach.
